Francine Aubin

Francine Aubin, née Francine Agnès Gisèle Marie-Thérèse Tremblot de la Croix,¹ was born on February 6, 1938 in Paris and died on August 14, 2016, in Boulogne-Billancourt.

Francine Aubin was the youngest of the five children of Richard Tremblot de la Croix (1889-1974), a polytechnician, industrialist, and company administrator, and his wife, née Marie-Thérèse Mauchauffée.² She studied music theory and piano at the Conservatory of Troyes, and followed the teachings of Madeleine Dauphin, Marie-Jeanne Villemez, Geneviève Zaigue-Dupont, Raymond and Éliane Niverd, and Patéro.² She obtained a second prize for piano, a first prize for flute, a first prize for harmony, and a first medal in music theory.³

She was admitted to the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris, where she studied piano and musical writing with Noël Gaillon and composition with Tony Aubin. ⁴
